What an elegant and appealing dining room. French is one of the romance languages, so subtle reminders of that with scripted furnishings will enhance a romantic decor. The black side chairs add a dramatic flair, but the distressed dining table balances them to make it a little less formal. Still cozy enough for an intimate dinner. The taupe colors in the chandelier blend well with the wall color so that it doesn’t overwhelm the space.

Vintage French Chandeliers
Searching for that perfect centerpiece to add a dramatic lighting element to a favorite room? Our Antiqued French Chandeliers create a sense of elegance, drama, and style. Our Gilded Versaille Chic Chandelier has all of the above and makes an impressive statement with it’s sweeping wrought iron arms and Old World glow. And our Crystal French Leaf Chandelier, hand carved and distressed to perfection, is a true piece of art.
Perhaps you love rustic-looking French shabby chic chandeliers, the aged ones that look like they came from an old French chateau. Then our Parisian Flea Market Chandelier is the choice for you! Or for a different and more modern feel, try the French Wood Chandelier which brings together the classic beauty of a French chandelier with the modern style of natural oak wood.
The word chandelier comes from the French word Chandelle, a type of candle -very fitting since the original chandeliers did contain candles you would have to light individually. Luckily today, we still have the look and feel of candles, yet we have modern electricity to light the faux candles on an item such as our lovely Large French Shabby Chandelier with a full dozen candles upon it. Another large chandelier with a dozen “candles” to create a romantic glow is our Distressed Carriage Chandelier. A real showstopper with an elongated curvy bronzed iron center that makes this chandelier something truly unique. Choosing the right chandelier may be difficult, but once you find your perfect match you will love and admire its beauty for years to come.

Finding the Perfect Chandelier
Selecting the perfect chandelier is highly personal. People don’t just buy chandeliers – they fall in love with them! They know the right one when they see it and just have to have it. Chandeliers can set the tone for a room or add just the right finishing touch. They become the focal point of an entry way, dining room or living area, and while furnishings often change, chandeliers typically remain for many years, majestically shining its light over a room.
But what drives the choice of a chandelier? Is it the architecture, the interiors, the color scheme of the room or something else? I suspect that there are many factors involved, but the final choice is more personal in nature…more about how the chandelier makes us feel and the ambiance we want to create in a room.
Chandeliers in bright, bold colors brighten a room and create a mood of excitent and joy.
Vintage French chandeliers evoke a feeling of old world sophistication and elegance.
Chandeliers with natural elements create a peaceful, down-to-earth feeling.
Chandeliers made from a mix of wood and iron make us feel safe and warm.
Shabby chic style chandeliers create a dreamy, romantic ambience.
Coastal style chandeliers create an airy, carefree atmosphere.
So when selecting a chandelier, think more about how you want to feel when you enter a room…and let your heart decide.
